Termite bonds are services you may contract with to have professionals keep an eye and in some cases guarantee against pest infestations.

Here are 5 ways termite letters are different than bonds.

Number one – Termite letters are a written summary noting the status of the property specifically for a closing.

Number two – many people think a termite letter is necessary to have a closing. That can be true and false. It all depends on what the contract states.

Number 3 – Termite letters also include information about moisture levels in the wood.

Number 4- Buyers or sellers can be responsible for arranging and paying for a termite letter.

Number 5- Termite letters expire, and typically only last for 30 days or less.

And here is a bonus number 6 – When issues come up on a termite letter, they can cause problems.
